Google Cloud Platform’s User Conference

On 20th October, I attended the Google Cloud Platform’s User Conference (NEXT London 2016) at the InterContinental hotel in London (near the O2 arena).

The goals of the day were to:

  • Learn what innovative startups and global enterprises are doing with GCP.
  • Get hands-on with the future of cloud technology.
  • Hear from the best lecturers in the global Google team.
  • Network and share your ideas with the GCP community.

Amazon Web Services Conference at The Shard

I attended an AWS conference at The Shard, the tallest building in London. The event focused on the following areas:

– Understand the benefits of the AWS cloud
– Learn how AWS helps you get to market faster and stay agile
– Hear from existing AWS customers about their use of, and experiences with, AWS and Iomart
– Network with AWS experts and peers


Big Data Bootcamp in London

Great event yesterday in London, attending a Big Data Bootcamp powered by BigStep, CouchBase, and MapR during which they presented their technologies. An awesome opportunity to meet numerous bright minds among the participants!

Mission at Noble Agri (Switzerland)

On Thursday 14th January, I finished an 8 months mission to coordinate the split of Noble Agri in the Treasury department (bought $1.5bn by COFCO) in Geneva (Switzerland). I have also created and implemented applications. A great experience!

Course de l’Escalade (Race in Geneva)

On Saturday 5th December 2015, I ran the “Course de l’Escalade” in Geneva (Switzerland) in 37’43”. For the 38th edition, more than 37.000 people ran in the old city of Geneva.

This event is always held a week before the “Fête de l’Escalade”, which celebrates the defeat of the surprise attack by troops sent by Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy during the night of 11–12 December 1602.

UCL delegation to Tel Aviv

Five days trip to Tel Aviv (Israel) fully organized by Dana Cohen and Ron Danenberg with the support of the Department of Management Science & Innovation. It gathered a total of 11 MSc Technology Entrepreneurship students (University College London) for an intense week in what is considered as one of the world’s best start-up hubs.

Meetings included:

– SimilarWeb, website traffic statistics: meeting with Ariel Rosenstein, director of marketing
– Jimmy Wales, co-founder of Wikipedia: Q&A at Tel Aviv University

Second place at HackTrain 3 days hackathon

This weekend I participated in HackTrain three days hackathon powered by Bloomberg and various British train companies. My amazing team has built Elastic while traveling across the UK (London, Sheffield, York, Edinburgh). We won the second prize competing with some of the best developers, UX designers, and young entrepreneurs!

An AMAZING event with incredibly smart and talented people. Challenging but we did it !!

40 hackers, 4 cities, 200km/h, 3 days



HackLondon is a 24 hours hackathon (= event during which people collaborate intensively on software projects) hosted by KCL Tech Society, UCL TechSoc and UCL Entrepreneurs Society. There were more than 200 participants to this amazing event.

My team created an app which allows users to schedule their coffee to have their coffee waiting for them when they get in the coffee shop (these are people who go to the same coffee shop everyday).

unBound Digital conference – Connecting digital ecosystems

Today, I have attended the unBound Digital conference. Chaired by Yossi Vardi, unBound Digital connects leaders and growth stage companies from digital ecosystems around the world.

unBound Digital, connects over 800 entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, growth stage companies and start-ups from leading digital ecosystems around the world. This year, there were delegations from Czech, Lithuania, Estonia, Israel, UK, USA, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, India, South Korea, Armenia and Singapore.


MSc Technology Entrepreneurship at UCL

I have started a one-year Master degree at University College London (5th best university in the World, according to QS World University rankings).

The Technology Entrepreneurship MSc equips graduates that have a strong desire to be an entrepreneur with the skills and knowledge needed to understand the start-ups ecosystem. The programme provides an effective grounding across a wide range of the applied disciplines required for the effective management of technical ventures.

Marathon de Paris 2014

On 6th April 2014, I successfully ran the Paris Marathon (42.195 km) for the second time. I did it in 05H 06’49” (which is just 47sec better than last year).

Fire walking - Targu Mures trust

Fire walking – Raising money for Shoah survivors

Today, I walked barefoot on fire! Distance: 20 feet of red hot embers burning at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit!! £30,000 pounds were raised for the Targu Mures Trust (offering home care and medicines to Shoah survivors in Romania).


Internship at BlackRock (London)

While working closely with BRS Client Solutions, I was part of the BPI team (BlackRock Platform & Integration) which ensures a globally consistent operating model and platform across all investment and operating functions.

During this 10 weeks internship, I was…

  • Researching how the systems are used by the Portfolio Managers
  • Assisting with the documentation of different BlackRock systems for the users
  • Working on some financial process implementation
  • Helping to improve the internal communication in Client Solutions by creating new internal communication channels
  • Testing and debugging systems developed by the IT teams

Marathon de Paris

After 32 weeks of training and being sick the week before, I successfully finished the « MARATHON de Paris » ==> 42,195 km !!

I did the first 30km in only 3hours and finally finished my first Marathon in 05h07′
